February 2023 video game releases: an absolutely huge month

or this second month of the year, the outings are legion. We knew it, 2023 was going to be a very rich year, and February definitely kicks off hostilities.

After a month of January already packed with big releases, including One Piece Odyssey , Forspoken and Dead Space Remake , February 2023 plunges into the bath once and for all. This month will also be a bit special since it marks the release of a new machine, Sony's big PSVR 2 .

Introducing the biggest games of February 2023

Obviously, we are only talking about big releases here, other more intimate games are expected this month and many events will also disrupt some of the most popular games already in place. We are thinking in particular of Battlefield 2042 which will be entitled to a highly anticipated overhaul , Pokemon Scarlet & Violet which will host a very large patch with new features, or even Destiny 2 which will receive a new extension full of new content. But for now, we are already going to go around the big video game releases for this month of February 2023.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered

One of the best JRPGs comes back from the dead to give itself a second life on consoles and PC. Tales of Symphonia , considered by many to be one of the most cult Tales of , gets a facelift with revamped graphics and revamped gameplay. We will follow the adventures of a troop of heroes having to face forces which exceed them in order to save the world. A classic story, but well brought that will send you to see the country, meet many people and face a whole bunch of overpowered enemies. Nostalgic or new players, it may be time to (re) dive.

Wild Hearts

February 17 - PS5 Xbox Series PC

While Monster Hunter Rise has just landed on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Xbox One, a major competitor is about to enter the arena. It's about Wild Hearts , the colossal project from EA and Koei Tecmo that aims to dethrone Monster Hunter from its untouchable status. Based on Japanese folklore and more, Wild Hearts will send us to fight huge creatures in battles that already promise to be daunting. Playable in multiplayer, the game will also focus on crafting and managing your equipment. Capcom better watch out, it now has an opponent of its size. Now remains to see what it will give the pad in the hands.

Atomic Heart

Like a Dragon: Ishin!

This spin-off of the Yakuza series returns in a completely remastered version to satisfy nostalgics and introduce neophytes to one of the most ambitious episodes of the saga. Unlike the Yakuza, Like a Dragon Ishin ! is not set in modern times, but sets its plot in the middle of 1800s Japan against a backdrop of assassinations and political conspiracies. For the rest, the title retains everything that makes the salt of the franchise from which it is drawn. Namely, violent fights, a beautiful palette of people and writing with small onions.

February 22 - Over 30 games at launch

Sons of the Forest

After a very popular first episode whose success is no longer to be proven, the license returns with Sons of The Forest , a sequel that promises to be just as creepy as its elder. Once again, it will be about survival, cannibal mutants and hostile environment. We can try the adventure alone or in cooperation to discover all the secrets hidden in the forest. In addition to having to meet your natural needs such as food and drink, you will also have to build your own shelter, and explore the area using everything around you. But be very careful, once night falls, wild animals and hunger will be the least of your worries.
